Computing

“Technology connects us, technology unites us, technology amplifies our power.”

Vivienne Harr

At Sandford School, we believe that the teaching of Computing is an important life-skill that will enable the children to embrace and utilise new technology in a socially responsible and safe way. We believe that a high-quality computing education allows children to become confident, competent and independent users of technology, understand the pivotal role that technology plays in their lives and equip them for life in a rapidly changing digital world. Not only do we want them to be digitally literate but through our computer science lessons we want them to develop creativity, resilience and problem-solving skills by learning how to be ‘computational thinkers’.
